Series 1.    "PLAYING WITH FIRE"

Taking big risks has always been a big part of my life. I have lived in seven different countries, always moving on a spur of the moment decision. When I moved to London at 18, I sold my stuff and booked a one way ticket. I showed up with no money and no place to live. I got off the train and wandered around looking for a cheap hotel or something until I could find a job and a home. I went around to modeling agencies, got signed that week and booked a big campaign immediately, moved to an apartment and made friends. When I came to NY I left my partner of 5 years, and moved to a random room in Brooklyn. I worked well, and found that it was a wonderful place to pursue my passions. I could experiment here and I met some of the most wonderful people and my dearest friends. I have always found the most rewarding moments in my life have come from taking huge leaps of faith. I think a lot of people question this sort of impulsiveness but I think it’s important to push boundaries. I think with no risk comes no reward.

Series 2.     "NO GODS NO MASTERS"

My father was very eccentric and rebellious, and always nurtured this side of me growing up. I was always encouraged to question things and do what I wanted even if it went against the grain, as long as I could stand up for myself. Now one of my core beliefs is doing things your own way even if others find it strange. This takes a lot of guts sometimes; I think you’ve got to have the courage to do what you want and damn others’ opinions. That kind of an attitude really enables you to happily and openly be yourself. To love and embrace yourself and others, and to celebrate your flaws and weirdness. I think this is the ultimate freedom. I think in general it is important to challenge perceptions, to create a more diverse and accepting environment for everyone. To me the most interesting people are their most unapologetic selves, and celebrate their own weirdness - all the cool people are freaks.
